Online Strength Coaching FAQs

Online strength coaching costs $80 per week or $220 per month depending on the level of support you choose. This can include your strength training program, weekly or monthly check-ins, technique feedback, nutrition guidance where needed, and ongoing contact with your coach.
All levels. We work with beginners who want to learn how to lift properly, as well as intermediate and more experienced lifters who want to improve technique, break plateaus, and keep making progress. You do not need to be advanced to start online strength coaching.
Programs are sent through Microsoft Excel or Google Drive and are easy to view and update. We do not use web based or mobile coaching apps because they restrict how much we can customise your training and make individual edits for clients when needed.
You can contact your coach throughout the week as needed. Check ins are done once a week or once a month depending on your coaching option, but you are able to message your coach directly and usually get a reply within 24 hours, often quicker.
Programs are reviewed and adjusted regularly based on your check-ins, videos, recovery, performance, and progress. Updates can include weight changes, rep targets, exercise changes, or broader changes to the training block when needed.
Usually, yes. Most weekly online coaching clients receive a check in video, but the length and format can vary depending on how much help you need, the questions you ask, and how much detail is required that week. If the update is very short or straightforward, a shorter written response may be enough.
Yes. All coaching packages can include nutrition support where needed. This may include calorie and macro guidance, bodyweight direction, and simple recommendations to support performance, recovery, and body composition.
No. Online strength coaching is contract free, so you can cancel at any time.
Easy. Just send us a text, call, or email and we can cancel it straight away. No forms. No messing around.
Yes. You can pause coaching if you’re away on holiday or need a break, and there are no pause fees.
Gym membership is not automatically included with online strength coaching. However, if you want to train at SPC Performance Lab while doing online coaching, optional gym membership is available at a reduced rate.
Yes. Coaching is flexible. You can move between weekly and monthly online strength coaching depending on what suits your goals, schedule, and budget best.
There is no strict minimum age. The main thing is that the person can follow instructions, communicate properly, and send through their weekly updates and feedback as needed. Because online coaching relies on the information you send back, if updates are not being sent through regularly, it becomes much harder for your coach to adjust the plan and help you properly.
No. Online strength coaching has no minimum time commitment and no lock in contract. Debits are taken weekly or monthly depending on your option, and you can cancel at any time.
No. Online strength coaching can be tailored for people who want to get stronger, build muscle, improve lifting technique, improve body composition, or train with more structure, not just people interested in powerlifting. If your main goal is improving your powerlifting total or competition lifts, see our online powerlifting coaching service.
Yes. That is one of the main reasons people sign up. If your lifts have stalled, we look at technique, programming, exercise selection, fatigue management, and how your current training is set up so the real limiting factors can be fixed instead of just guessing.
A few good questions to ask are: • What is their coaching philosophy and training background? • Do they have a formal education related to coaching or sports science? • What do their previous clients look like? • Do they explain why they program the way they do? • Do they actually review technique regularly? • How much support do you get each week? • Is the coaching hands on and personalised, or is it mostly templated?
In many cases, yes. Training can often be adjusted around pain, injuries, or movement limitations by modifying exercise selection, range of motion, load, or lift variations. The goal is to keep you training safely while improving strength, technique, and long term confidence under load.

At SPC Performance Lab, online strength coaching is designed for lifters who want evidence-based programming, detailed technique feedback, nutrition guidance where needed, and ongoing coach support to help them keep progressing. Whether your goal is to increase strength, improve body composition, break through a plateau, or simply train with more confidence and direction, online strength coaching gives you a more personalised system for making progress without wasting time on random or ineffective training.
