Wedging is not required to build tension in dead-lifts
Wedging into the dead-lift appears to be the common method by which power-lifters use to create tension during the dead-lift setup. This video explains that the wedge technique is not ‘necessary’ to create tension in the dead-lift, some technique errors that may stem from the wedge technique and a method to create dead-lift tension without wedging.
